Review: Ghost GT14 Cart Bag

6 min read

After using the Ghost Golf Anyday stand bag and loving it, I figured why not try out the GT14 cart bag? Well I should clarify my wife saw me have this in my cart for a while and helped me decide on the color. I went with the white version, partly because I had never owned a white bag before and wanted to see how well I could keep it clean, and partly because, well, it just looks really good. After quite a few rounds with it, I can say that it’s a great bag, but there are a few little things that stood out to me, both good and bad.

I did also see something really cool on IG where a dad let his kids decorate his white golf bag with markers and designs. When my kids get older I want to do the same thing as it will be unique and allow them to put their stamp on the bag. I tried to find the photo, but couldn’t. Anyway cool idea for down the road when they don’t just scribble!

Storage

Storage is crazy on this thing. I mean, I’m pretty sure I could pack for a weekend trip with all the pockets it has. Every time I think I’ve found them all, I end up finding another hidden one. There’s plenty of room for balls, tees, gloves, rangefinders, snacks, and probably even a spare pair of shoes if you really wanted to. It is well thought out, and everything has a spot, which makes keeping things organized a breeze. Where the Anyday opts for no long pockets the GT14 features two long pockets with two more secondary external pockets with plenty of depth making 6 total and functional side pocks.

The cart strap pass-through is a nice touch and keeps the bag locked in place when riding. The magnetic top flap pocket is something I didn’t know I needed, but now that I have it, I use it all the time. It’s one of those little conveniences that you don’t really appreciate until you’ve used it.

Design and Durability

The handle is probably one of the best I’ve come across. That might sound like a weird thing to get excited about, but when you’re constantly moving your bag around, you start to appreciate a solid, comfortable handle.

The biggest thing I was curious about was how well an all-white bag would hold up, especially since I got it toward the end of the season when courses were muddy and conditions weren’t exactly ideal. Surprisingly, it still looks great. The material is easy to clean, and even after a few rounds in less-than-perfect weather, it hasn’t shown nearly as much dirt as I expected. I’ve had a bunch of people ask about it, which tells me it definitely stands out in a good way.
One small detail I really like is that the inside of the bag is black, which gives it a slimmer look overall. It’s just a small design choice, but it adds to its oveerall appeal for me. The branding is also a bit different from the Anyday bag less frequent but bigger and better placed. I didn’t mind the branding on the Anyday, but I think they got it just right with this one.

The 14-way top is very similar to the Anyday with similar materials being used and nice sturdy handles that match the quality and aesthetic of the rest of the bag.

There is the glove velcro place on both sides and it has become my favorite feature. Dumb I know, but as someone who takes off their glove between every shot it is truly a game-change that I have never had on any other bag.

Even little things like the flap you can see under the strap pocket is a nice added touch for ease of use. There is an additional flap at the bottom of the bag making lift and moving around easier.

It is the small things that make the different here for me and I love all the little touches. While maybe not as distinct in the photos the ribbing where a cart bag would be holding the bag is beefed up with additional rubber. Small, but when you are investing in a bag these things matter to make it last a long time.

Things That Could Be Better

Now, let’s talk about a few things that could be better. The bag is not light, and while that’s not a dealbreaker since it is a cart bag, you do notice it when you’re moving it in and out of the car and sometimes when pushing up a hill. Now if you ride in a cart, don’t think twice. The weight doesn’t matter and more than makes up for the massive amounts of storage which is offered.

The base is wider than my Anyday stand bag, which made fitting it onto my push cart a bit of a struggle. I should note this is not an issue for my Clicgear, but the Sun Mountain bag has a plastic base which is needs to be wedged into, but It does fit, barely, so if you’re using a push cart often, keep that in mind.

Also, the rain cover zipper feels like it was designed more with a riding cart in mind rather than a push cart, which makes it a little awkward to access when you need it. None of these are major dealbreakers, but they are little things that I noticed after putting the bag through real use.

Speaking of rain, I have used this bag in bad rain and the outside did repel water for a while, but also took a long time to dry out. (More my own fault)

Wrap up

Overall, I really like this bag. It’s got a premium feel, tons of storage, and a sleek look. The weight and width are things to consider if you’re primarily a push cart user, but if you mostly ride, those won’t be an issue. It handles clubs well, even with oversized grips, and everything just fits together nicely.

TLDR – Too long, nice photos, but what really matters?

The GT14 cart bag from Ghost Golf is packed with storage, has a great design, and is built to last. The materials feel high-end, the pockets are super functional, and it still looks great even after rough weather. It’s a bit on the heavier side and has a wider base, so if you use a push cart, double-check the fit. Despite those minor gripes, it’s a fantastic bag that delivers on quality and function.

Would I Buy It Again?

Yes, without hesitation. The GT14 has proven to be a durable, stylish, and well-thought-out cart bag with some great standout features. The magnetic pocket, cart strap pass-through, and sheer amount of storage make it a joy to use. While I would love to see a slightly lighter version with a more push cart-friendly base, those are small trade-offs for the overall quality. If you want a premium cart bag that looks great and performs well, this one is absolutely worth considering.
